Want to try something completly different in cruising? Try Riverboat Cruising.
Although it's been around for a number of years, riverboat cruising is a unique way to explore destinations that cannot accommodate large cruise ships. Most riverboats hold from 50-200 passengers with a few exceptions. Because of their size, they can navigate smaller rivers and bodies of water that a large cruise ship would never be able to get through.
Oasis of the Seas Inaugural Cruise....our review
Sue and I were invited to the inaugural cruise of Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas for travel professionals and travel agents last year. If one had only one word to describe the experience it would have to be "impressive". This ship is massive in size and the largest cruise ship in the world. It is an architectural marvel at sea, spanning 16 decks, encompassing 225,282 gross registered tons, carrying 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and featuring 2,700 staterooms.
I've always wanted to attend a quality golf school.
With as much money spent on greens fees, travel, equipment, etc., those that intend to play regularly might be interested in investing in instruction that helps to build on basic fundamentals and deliver a degree of confidence to the player that you are headed in the right direction. I’ve often had the frustration of practicing and knowing that what I’m practicing is wrong, therefore re-enforcing bad habits. Why waste the time, effort, and money?
Why using a professional travel agent for booking travel makes the most sense.
Not a week goes by that we don’t hear the horror stories of doing business with the large online travel giants. Every week it seems our Chicago Tribune Travel Troubleshooter section has another story about spending countless hours on the phone and months of frustration dealing with these companies. Your time is valuable; we can do the heavy lifting when there is a problem and in most cases get you on your way with a minimum of hassle. Using a travel professional gives you the peace of mind and the assurance your travel plans will be something you won’t have to worry about.
A luxury Silverseas cruise aboard the Silver Wind is a special thing
Ocean view suites. For everyone. Only 296 guests and staff of 212 mean 1.4 guests to every staff member. Fewer guests, combined with more space and Silversea's signature six-star personalized service make for the ultimate sailing experience. Add in world class cuisine, and an all inclusive policy for beverages including alcoholic beverages and you have one of the best winning combinations in cruising.

Monday morning I picked up the phone to call Delta Air Lines as a messy snow storm was reeking havoc in the Midwest. I was amazed to hear a recording tell me that Delta was busy, call back later and they immediately hung up on me.
